First Educators Credit Union - the Panther Branch
In the fall of 2007, the local FBLA chapter at Riverchase Middle School opened the first student-run credit union in Alabama. Thanks to our business supporter, partner and parent branch, First Educators Credit Union (FECU). Students employees receive on-going professional development training as tellers of our Panther Branch and are able to conduct routine transactions to open an account, make deposits, withdrawals, and set-up online banking for our members.
Members who join FECU can make deposits, withdrawals, sign-up for online banking, apply for an ATM card and debit card (checking account required), receive monthly statements, and other services offered at any of the FECU branches.
The Panther Branch is located on campus at RMS in room A-17. The main FECU branch is in the city of Hoover at 1810 Merchant Drive across from Sam's Club and the Galleria. FECU is a proud member of the National Credit Union Associatio (NECU) and your savings is federall insured.
