6pm - 4th period (6th grade), 7B, 8B, and Jazz Band
7:30pm - Jazz Band, 6th Period, 7A, and 8A
Students should be in their seats ready to go (in their band uniform) 10 minutes before their concert starts. During the concert we will be honoring students for most outstanding member and most improved player for each grade.
For the 3rd year in a row, the schools of Lawrence Township have been named among the top 100 in the United States in which to learn music. Performing Arts in LT continues to be recognized for their excellence not only in Indianapolis, the State of Indiana, but also throughout the country. We are very grateful for the support of our community, the administration, the parents, and the hard work and effort of our incredible students.

Also, congratulations to the Lawrence Central Wind Ensemble for winning the 2008 ISSMA State Championship for Concert Bands. Many of these performers are former Belzer Band students!
Welcome to Belzer! To the left is a section marked "Prospective Parents and Students". Please consult that page for more information about our band program. You will also find copies of documents that have been mailed to you, as well as a link to the Performing Arts Institute.
Paige's Music/ Loaner Instruments:
If your student needs to have a repair made to their instrument, please call Paige's Music to request that a free loaner instrument be brought to the school. This call must be made by Saturday so that the loaner can be delivered to school on Monday. Students then leave their instrument under the front table in the band room to be picked up Monday during 8th Period. This service is free to anyone renting a Paige's instrument.
Parents:
Do you have any pictures that you would like to submit for publication on the Belzer Band Website? If it is one or two pictures, you can e-mail them to Michael Payne @ michaelpayne@msdlt.k12.in.us. For more than two pictures, send in the photos on a CD with your student.
If you need to contact Mr. DeCaro or Mr. Payne we advise you to do so via email or phone. Please do not contact us for performance times or for information that is already in our band handbook/on the web site or in student distributed handouts. We typically receive over 100 emails per day and quite a few phone calls. Explanations about grades are also contained in our band handbook which is also located on this web site. Also, if it is a concert or a contest day you will probably not get a response that day. Those are incredibly busy days for both of us.
If you have a question that is not answered in the handbook or on the web site (such as sharing information about your child, asking how they can do better in band, or anything else) please contact:
Mr. DeCaro: All jazz band students, all percussion students, and all woodwind students. jamesdecaro@msdlt.k12.in.us or 964-6256
Mr. Payne: All general music students and all brass students. michaelpayne@msdlt.k12.in.us or 964-6253
If you contact the wrong director, you may not get an answer promptly.
