James Tenney plays John Cage 1/sound. at the Schindler House
This is called "prepared piano". Notice that the performer put bolts, a score and some other materials on the strings of the piano to give it different sounds! This piece was written by John Cage. Try looking up more minimalistic pieces on You Tube or on-line.
Steve Reich • Clapping Music
Check this out as well as more Steve Reich pieces! He is a 20th century minimalist composer. Be sure to look up the meaning of minimalism in regards to music!
