Planning and Preparation
General Eisenhower's D-Day Orders for June 6, 1944

"You are about to embark upon the Great Crusade, toward which we have striven these many months. The eyes of the world are upon you. . . I have full confidence in your courage, devotion to duty and skill in battle."

TEAMWORK

The production of the Tribute incorporates the educational philosophies of Multiple Intelligences and Inquiry instruction. Character education is stressed and connected to Dr. Duane Hodgin’s lessons of learning about authentic heroes. Students find an area(s) they desire to help with ranging from, singing, writing, setting-up tables and chairs, drawing posters, creating technology programs, greeting honorees, to helping veterans to their seats. The tribute allows students to have ownership in many different ways.

Parent volunteers are an integral and necessary component in making the Tribute a success each year. Parents meet and help organize the lunch and food being served, decorate the gym, proof read and rehearse scripts with students, find props and costumes, and spend countless hours helping in anyway possible to make it a special day for the honorees.

Students Run the Show
The Tribute utilizes the many different skills of the students to put on a great USO show for the honorees.

Staff Support
Indian Creek staff members go all out to support the Tribute.

Indian Creek Parents are the Best!
Every year the Tribute's success is due to the hard work of parent volunteers. Many spend countless hours organizing, rehearsing with students, buying materials, and assisting the veterans. The selfless dedication is to make a memorable event for the honorees and the students.
